Tweet Spinner also has a “nofollow&# user list that will algorithmically never follow users who meet certain criteria. Moreover, you can also nofollow people based on their tweets. No Follow Certain Links – Adding the nofollow attribute to certain links tells search engines not to pass Pagerank to them and not to give any ‘benefits’ to the receiving page or site. I also nofollow links to pages that don’t need my link juice such as About or Contact and even things like my RSS feed.

The influencers on Twitter tend to be those with the highest (natural) and most targeted follow count (maybe sad, but it’s true) and the influencers on Digg and Reddit are not the content creators, but the people submitting the content. You may have a harder time at succeeding than other people (Leo Babauta was on the Digg homepage over 40 times which helped quickly propel him to 100k+ subscribers) but if you stick at it then you have no excuse for building a failed blog. I wrote over 40 guest posts in 2009 because I knew how powerful they were.
