I joined Twist Image in 2002. Held on a university campus, individuals and groups of people would spend fifteen minutes demoing the cool stuff that they were working on. While it's just an avatar, you really do get the sense like you are seeing and interacting with them (even if all you're doing is creeping on their content).

Even people leaving the group can create a rituals of goodbyes and “remember when…&# reminiscing. Change your Twitter avatar to be Santa Claus. I photoshop my avatar to have a moustache -. - Other rituals you can create activity around are weddings, births, engagements and so on. so do thousands of others.

This group use a variety of tell tale strategies that show what they’re really on about. Alternatively, sometimes this group will do something controversial to try to get some attention (attacking the writer or other comments) in the hope of people wanting to check them out. Lastly is the Value Provider Who Gets No Value Back.

Facebook group. I started blogging in 2002, 2004 for ProBlogger, of course things have changed. Ideally, what you want to create is some kind of avatar or persona or reader profile for your blog. Include a sentence or two about who is reading your blog, and maybe refer to the avatar if you’ve done that exercise.

It was a mind-blowing question to be asked because everything has changed in my blogging since 2002 except for the fact that a blog is pretty much the same thing. Don’t forget to join the Facebook group. For me, it all started in 2002 with an email from a friend. Okay, It was 2002 and I got this email and it had four words in it and a link. Some people would call them personas or avatars today. I know some people like personas and avatars, other people don’t.
