Publish the data in a.PDF and then provide a useful amount of the results: let people pay for the full report or ask them to fill out a contact form to download. NoFollow Certain Pages I did say there may be some tactics that people frown upon in this post, and this is the first. The Nofollow attribute was first introduced by search engines to help stop spam on the web from ranking in search results. Similarly, I nofollow links to my about page, my category links and my RSS feed.

It certainly isn’t 100% accurate (though no analytics tool is) and the only downside in my opinion is the delay in reporting. In these industries I’ve seen people report as much as $5 per click on a regular basis. An example of the latter could be a Rapidshare search engine, a blog that offers MP3 links, a free PDF resource, or anything that offers users downloads in some form. That’s huge.
