Moving some of the other sites I have will be a bit easier. The next site I wanted to move all on my own was HyperLocal Edge.

So we started creating accounts on social media sites so we can push out messaging specifically for the channel and the corporate products in the US. There are some great examples of Facebook Fan sites that I am using for inspiration. I am getting more familiar with Facebook Markup Language or FBML to the rest of you geeks.

There are obviously the major job boards like Monster.com and HotJobs.com but it seems to me like these sites are a necessary evil more than anything else. I’ve been focusing more on LinkedIn than the other sites and I’ll explain a process and what I like about it. See…leads.

My traffic has increased and based on Google Analytics my site is up 91% over last week and I have gained keyword ranking for most of all the words I want. Yes, you are right that It is good to have short urls to to mention somewhere on your site or to share with people on the net rather than to messup the page where you are providing the links for your users. I was also using some other url shortner services for my Logo Design Company but I think I should give bit.ly

wordpress.com hosted blog Self hosted blog.paragon-software There was some break in the stats while the site was moved but it’s clear that the blog is getting a lot more exposure than our other social media profiles. The site is very functional, I could make it a little ‘prettier’ but it’s nice.

I realized I had a virus/malware/rootkit when I typed something into Google and when I clicked a link, Firefox sent me to some completely different site. As I said the browser redirect virus is random so there is a chance I get to the site I wanted to look at. Yes, I was infected. The worst part is that the virus is completely random.

The site is now on OpenDNS’ and Google’s reported phishing lists. ¬ Koka Sexton #2794 January 4th, 2009 at 12:00 pm I think many people were not so lucky but I am happy with the response Twitter made and adding the warning to their site.

My buddy was on the other end of the line laughing his ass off explaining that he found a site that allows you to mask your caller ID and make it look like anyone you want was actually making the call and since he had the numbers to my wife and family (we are good friends) he decided to play a joke on me.
