Google search results page will list these negative sites if these sites have gained momentum and are optimized for relevant search terms/keywords. Include negative keywords.

From my home site upper left corner link to Organica which has found some sites that link to me, and how recently. Other interested webloggers could subscribe (via RSS) to such channels and could ping them whenever they write something that relates to the topic at hand that they wish to share with the community of subscribers.

Just make sure to be vigilant about moderating your comments – linking to good blogs and blog posts doesn’t hurt, but linking to bad sites might. I created what I consider a rather extensive list of guest post guidelines , although I have seen sites with a more comprehensive list. Should I accept guest posts on my blog?

Separate original content from press releases (and other forms of non-news content) – separating articles in the directory structure helps Google News identify what is specifically news content. Please do comment below with your own recommendations for encouraging social interaction on membership sites. How to build community on membership sites. Create featured blogs: Post regularly to a set of sites targeting specific topics. Include member and blog directories: Provide searchable directories of all users and blogs.

There are several blog directories that you can sign up for and a thousand ways to generate traffic but I have not found anything as impressive as BlogBurst.
