Sometimes the feed would work, sometimes it would appear to be empty. So we moved some client sites to Feedblitz , others decided to use WordPress’s free built in RSS feed tool. But I never really got around to updating my own blogs until yesterday, when I realized two of them were no longer working.

Other targets are content farms and “scraper&# sites (those which pull in content through RSS feeds or robots and post it as their own) but may also affect sites like eHow and About.com who, up until now, have dominated the results for a lot of topics.

Another way of using MeetEdgar is to automatically share new content from top blogs and publications. You also have the option of scheduling a post for a specific date and time and when it comes to your queue, you can set expiration dates for specific updates, so that they stop going out without you having to intervene again.

Blogs were in their infancy and we used bulletin boards and comment streams on posts to communicate with our user-base and we loved every second of it. Honestly, whether business pays to get into news-feeds is not the concern of it’s user base, who would just as soon NOT see those ads inserted into their stream.

Every successful blogger or blogging coach will tell you it’s important to blog regularly to maintain the interest of your readers. How often is up to you, but often it’s helpful to set a sort of schedule to your blogging so people begin to expect to hear from you on a regular basis. I hope so anyway!).

I heard this on Sunday and so just for fun I filtered every one of the newsletters and rss feeds that I never even bother to scan into a mailbox. I went into my Google reader and deleted every blog that hadn’t posted within the last 30 days. This works well with blog posts too. Liberating is the only word for it.

We all *think* we’re doing great when the Twitter alerts are rolling, Email’s pinging, Facebook is always open and your RSS feeds are pushing you new content to share. Instead of reading your RSS feeds while thinking about how/who/when you’ll share it, just simply stop and read the posts. Efficient right?
