Social Media is Often Permanent Everything you do and say online can be used against you. Those mistakes you make when blogging could harm your reputation because search engines do not easily forget, and negative messages can be spread like wildfire thanks to the potential of the Internet. Add an avatar and a bio at the minimum. Social News (Digg, Sphinn, Mixx, Reddit, Tip’d, and a whole load of related sites) Submitting only your own articles and posts to social media sites. Social news is about reciprocal relationships. Polishing a tarnished reputation is often an exercise in futility.
