For those of you who don’t know why links are important, let me just say that if you want to get traffic from the major search engines, they’re crucial. Links from other sites to your site are basically a ‘vote’ that tell search engines you are trusted and you are a good resource for whatever your content is about.

I like to focus on building search engine traffic to my sites because once you have rankings you can usually sustain them with little effort and the traffic they send is very targeted. If you’re entering an industry with a brand new site, the last thing you want to do is wait that long for some good search engine traffic.

As a quick reminder to those of you who want to follow along, my plan to make money is by ranking in Google for a certain keyphrase and getting search engine traffic to the site. onreact.com) told me what could be the problem and it turned out that the privacy settings was set to “Don’t show in search engines&# , just like yours.

There are many more ways to make money online, but the process that generates most of my income is simply this: I direct search engine traffic to landing pages, and then send that traffic to product pages as an affiliate. There’s a great resource here which gives you a lot of free templates you can use for your site.
