Therefore, if you’re serious about blogging, you need to make a concerted effort to learn traditional media/publishing etiquette. Bloggers are clearly in a different position than reporters because they are often also the publisher, and the publisher IS interested in ad sales. Did I miss any rules?

I love doing tests like this as I apply them to my own endeavours, but as I do write for an internet marketing blog, it makes sense to share them with you guys as well. Some people might prefer a larger sample, but I prefer to look at the successful sites rather than a niche as a whole.

For me, my most important tasks vary, but generally include things like: Writing a blog post Researching niches Building out current websites Marketing current websites If I spend most of my day doing something other than these things, then I’m not being as effective as I could be with my time. How I respond to emails, is marketing.
