Basically, it allows users who are signed into their Google account to customize their homepage with lots of cool stuff. You can add RSS feeds, YouTube subscriptions, personalize it with custom themes, and even view your Gmail inbox, all in one place. As you can see, I use iGoogle for all of my RSS feeds. You don't have to move.

In looking at syndicated content on Yahoo News, most of the syndicated articles do not include attribution links (each news source likely has to request or provide them), but among those that do exist there is a problem. Will Publishers Add Cross-Domain Rel=Canonical to Syndication Deals?

However from an SEO perspective there is a downside, as syndication creates duplicate content issues. Search engines don’t want to show users multiple versions of the same content, so when an article has been syndicated it’s likely that one version will be given prominence – and that may or may not be the original.

E-mail newsletters and RSS feeds. RSS feeds are another good opportunity, both for content discovery and because users sometimes utilize them to power link modules on a blog or other site, in which case they become a direct source of links. Smart syndication. Cross-network promotion. Shine or MSN Living. Widgets and badges.
