NoFollow Certain Pages I did say there may be some tactics that people frown upon in this post, and this is the first. The Nofollow attribute was first introduced by search engines to help stop spam on the web from ranking in search results. Similarly, I nofollow links to my about page, my category links and my RSS feed.

I’m certainly no Adsense expert, but I instantly saw ways to increase the revenue and tested different strategies over a number of weeks. If you want people to stick around on your site and give them everything they need, then Adsense is probably not the best monetisation strategy for you. Many thanks for everything!

A better long-term strategy in my opinion is to build a loyal, focused audience. When most people think about launching a product from their blog they automatically think about creating an eBook. The whole of Cloud Living was created with Open Office which is free software that anybody can download. Any advice would help.

It’s not that you can’t grow your site – because even ugly blogs with no about page can gain an audience – it’s just that you could probably be getting better results (more subscribers, more sales, more pageviews) from your traffic generation strategy. So I guess I’m proof that your strategies worked!

The product is obviously relevant to what they were searching for, and this strategy results in a win-win for both parties (I only promote the best products / services I know of). The product creators can offer such high commissions because digital items like eBooks are free to duplicate. As always, I’ll answer them all!
