You can find ideas in literally any niche, with some examples being their marketing , finance , gadget and humour sections. Head on over to their homepage and enter the niche that you’re writing in or even the RSS feed of one of your favourite blogs and you’ll instantly see their blog posts which went viral. BTW, nice post.

With over 4 million RSS subscribers according to Feedburner, it’s clear they’re not struggling. Yet, there’s only one post in over 50 that actually covers viral marketing directly.

A site’s authority may rapidly rise and fall depending on what the blogosphere is discussing at the moment, and how often a site produces content being referenced by other sites. If you go by RSS feed subscribers and Technorati rank, you might think they still are. Last year TechCrunch were a much bigger blog than Mashable.
