In a typical scenario I would have no blog subscribers, no ‘popular posts’ and I would be a total nobody in the space. I would probably struggle to rank this site for anything which gets thousands of searches per month unless there was some amazing service attached to it, it was my brand name, or I was running a blog.

If I owned the site, I would do basic things such as: Reverse the order of the phrases in the title tag Remove the site name from the heading on the site Show more of their blog posts on the homepage Remove the default Wordpress links from the sidebar These changes, with a few quality links, would help push them up the rankings.

Tay over at Super Blogging must have added a new plugin to his site. Encourage Comments Everyone that blogs knows that leaving comments is a great way to drive trafic to your site. Some sites still have a hard time driving traffic with this but I think all in all that comments in blogs are the best way to get new visitors.
