Canonicalization and URL Structure. Rather than wasting your time rehashing this topic, I have written a handy guide that explains URL structure best practices in full. To summarize the article, there should only be one URL used to get to the homepage of your website. Avoid creating a mosaic of advertisements on your website.

The open source nature of AMP is a plus but I’m not a fan of having to create separate URLs. The use of sponsored content and native advertising also continues to increase as publishers look for additional sources of revenue. App Indexing and App Store Optimization.

Permalinks Permalinks are simply the URL’s for your posts. p=38 but if you look at the URL for this post you will see [link] I’ll let you decide which one you think looks better. I currently use the following format: Some people like to have categories in there but I like to keep URL’s as short as possible.

If you market via PPC it gives you a decent estimate of the advertiser competition as well. For example, if I want to leave a lot of blog comments, it’s going to be a hassle to constantly type in my name, email, and URL. Around two years ago I had over 350 feeds in there as I was a total information junkie.
