Done well it can be a good fit for both publishers and advertisers, and dare I say even add value for users. This topic has been in the news recently with Google first issuing a reminder that any links within sponsored content should not pass PageRank. In addition, do not include sponsored content in your Google News sitemap.

Over the past several years, Google and Bing have released guidelines for webmasters to make websites more crawlable. This is a consolidation of all the guidelines released by Google and Bing over the years to improve onsite optimization. Duplicate content on pages is another way to get on Google’s black list. Unlike other guest blogging and blogger outreach networks, you won’t be added to a searchable directory or database. You won’t get classified as part of a blog network (and face the wrath of Google). You don’t want people to see nothing but links to your site, advertisements, etc. One thing to keep in mind is that, with Google’s new social search capabilities, even though the links in your tweets are nofollow, the tweet itself is being noticed for keyword value. Some success is from sites I purchased which were ranking on the first few pages of Google and I built some great links to get them on the first page. Ranking for how to lose weight fas t is much easier than how to lose weight because less people are optimising for that term and it will take less links to get on the first page of Google.

Meta Tags When you search for a site in Google, you’ll see a snippet of content under the page link. I should mention that Google announced a few months ago they do not crawl the keywords tag anymore. The Google external keyword tool is a good place to start to see which phrases are popular in your audience.
