I am not talking about Adsense (although I will explain why Adsense on a social blog is NOT a good thing later). Blogging and making money with Adsense. I spoke briefly about how I think it is an absolute terrible idea to simply throw up Adsense ads (or any kind of contextual ads) onto your social blog.

I tried many forms of making money online, including advertising on my blog, AdSense sites, affiliate marketing, and maintaining a directory. Local search results take up prime real estate on the first page, so if you are not on it, then you are missing out on business. I love writing. For Businesses.

Like there are real estate agents or insurance brokers and etc. Google Adsense is a form of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing means that you sell somebody’s products or services and earn a commission from it. it’s the same concept except on the net.

What I’m proposing is that you donate a small portion of your online real estate to a good cause. For many, that means less space for direct advertising or AdSense promotion. I know that the thought of giving even a small portion of your sidebar to charity may seem painful at first.

As a new blogger, here is my question/issue/concern: Obviously the “making money online” niche is HUGE, but what about smaller niches (like mine, Real Estate Investing). Because every time someone clicks an Adsense ad they are gone from your site. Don’t get me wrong, I actually really like Adsense in some situations.
