Free if you connect with their “influencers” outreach program, or $15/month if you do not, PostRank provides a useful, detailed blogging scoreboard, especially if you connect it with your Google Analytics account. By no means perfect, but much more illustrative than follower counts.

Some tools you can use are Social Mention , Trackur , and PostRank. Are you getting ROI on your investments on the social web? Building relationships takes time so you have to give it enough time before you will see good ROI. PostRank is becoming one of my favorite tools. Don’t give up if the results are not good.

Is there any ROI? If someone thinks they get ROI from just broadcasting about themselves all day, good luck with that. Online activity v. offline balance I alluded to this earlier, and I think this is still one of the main concerns for anyone embarking on social media. Will it be a time suck? Who cares what I had for breakfast?
