In the comments for one of these posts, someone gave me the idea of analysing different industries to see the average post length in each, so they could gauge how long their articles should be. Sites in industries like Marketing, Finance and Personal Development post less (1-7 times per week) but write much longer articles.

I like to use Google Trends which gives me an idea of whether an industry is becoming more popular online or if it’s declining. Office for Mac When I ordered my Macbook Pro about 5 months ago (my first Mac) I didn’t think I would like their Microsoft Word alternative, Pages. As usual, a totally cool and helpful post.

After implementing my suggestions, he quickly passed the 1,000 subscribers mark, which is a great achievement in any industry. For every article that I write, I first read it over 2-3 times (which can take quite a while, as I write a lot) and then run it through Microsoft Word which helps me spot spelling and grammar mistakes.
