Google is personalizing search results by including more Google+ profiles, business pages, posts, and Google+ and Picasa photos in a significant new initiative called Search plus Your World. I recently noticed that the service has added several other social media services to its metrics, which increases its value a hundred-fold (though I’d still say it’s overly weighted toward Twitter). Foursquare – The local networking website. YouTube – The video sharing monolith owned by Google.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve written a few times about Google+, but what I haven’t done is told you why your local business should be using Google+ for social networking, marketing, and branding. Your Google profile gets a boost when you use Google+. Google+ is easy to use.

It's time to pay attention to Google+. Back in July, I Blogged about Google 's foray into online social networking, Google+ (more here: Co-dependency In The Age of Facebook ). At the time, the majority of the discourse surrounding Google+ was about whether or not it would be able to compete in a Facebook world.
