But I do find it interesting that reaction to Klout is so visceral, and that is of course because what it purports to measure is by definition personal. Why do you think billions are invested every year in loyalty programs (tiered treatment) and credit scores (tiered treatment)? How the hell does that work without something like Klout?

But it’s definitely not the same without you leading the show. Radian6, I think, really pioneered that model internally and had really specific, amazing ways of triaging and handling inquiries. It helps build loyalty, generate conversations, and it also gets you more followers if you do it right. People are definitely saying something about what your business is saying or doing on the web. What she is doing is totally not a social media ‘sin’ because she is not sharing personal updates on Radian6′s handle.

It's definitely some food for thought. And given that Facebook creates a backlash with their constant 'tweaks', maybe it's OK that people like the simplicity of Twitter – if Twitter stay true to what people enjoy about it, that seems like it would actually build more loyalty. link] Claire Latham Twitters Role.
