Does anyone else think its interesting that Twitter, the hottest social media network today, is generating events? Ah, events. Prediction: tomorrow’s event, event marketing and sponsorship opportunity is with “Tweet-ups” where like-minded Twitter-peeps meet up to meet each other in person. Everyone is doing it.

You can follow along with the hashtag #SM69 (for the 69th time they have had this weekly discussion). When combining social media with other interactive marketing practices, the results can magnify both. In other words, social media integrated with other forms of marketing is greater than the sum of the parts. See you there?

Not-so-obvious: Use hashtags smartly. If you’re sharing PR-related content, an obvious hashtag is #pr. A not-so-obvious hashtag to include is #solopr, which is related to Kellye Crane ‘s Twitter chat. The longer answer: Think back to pretty much every event in your life. Remember, context is everything.

You liked this idea too, btw. :) Its amazing how far Amplify has come.
