As of now, I have Amplify set up to auto-post to Twitter, Facebook (I can sync it to either my personal or business page, or both) Google Buzz and Delicious. I view Amplify as a triggering device leading into points for social distribution; which fosters social aggregation; and ultimately to social endorsement and social action.

One common example is when you are a company that focuses on search engine optimization (SEO) and you have heard that Google (a big company) recently broke the news that they will have a significant update that most people are anticipating.
