Thankfully I do have great relationships with people who write content I love, like Pat and Tamar. In order to really leverage sites like Facebook, Twitter and Stumbleupon, at least for a blog, I think you really just need to focus on writing the best content you can, which is what I will continue to do.

Comments help you to show a form of social proof that you can’t fake without a lot of time and they allow you to see if people are really interested in the type of content you’re putting out there. Just make sure you can back it up with the content that follows. It makes no sense not to.

What you may not know is that since June 2009, the blog has consistently been making over $4-5,000 per month (over $6,000 in January, this year) without doing anything more than publishing new content. The blog will never win any design or content awards, but it does make a lot of money.
