I think Microsoft would be more receptive to user feedback. I’ve seen this on Microsoft’s PR depts. But I don’t consider it smart to try to convert new buyers. What about keeping their current customers happy? I’m going to ask Apple to buy me a Zune. I thought that would change.

Reply BrettFromTibet February 2, 2008 at 4:20 pm I knew the shark had been jumped when they made Microsoft their ad partner and displayed crappy banners for M$ products alongside stories about Ubuntu’s domination and Apple’s PWNing. Since the changes smaller sites have totally been discriminated against.

What about the ad deal you currently have with Microsoft? Google and Microsoft are going after social networks and some people feel aren’t monetizable. In terms of the Microsoft relationship, we want the way people make money to be in line with the way people use the site. Lacy : You’ve created a great innovation.

You never want to work for a company who has a bad reputation, especially if you plan to remain in this industry. Going Off On Your Own Only after you have spent at least 18 months to two years at a reputable company should you actually go at taking clients alone. Word travels. You can do better. That’s why cellphone manufacturers, Microsoft, drug manufacturers do not release all their discoveries to keep people on coming back and wanting more.
