If your new business name, address, or phone number doesn’t get updated on every single directory, link, and reference to your business, you could literally find yourself in a situation where you’re competing against yourself. If one site needs more SEO help than the other, your webmaster can help you set up one of them as a “nofollow” link.

Just as low-level article directories (ezinearticles, articlesbase, and others) got hurt by Google’s Panda Update in 2013, I predict that Google will hurt sites abusing guest blogging in 2013. Quite simply, Google’s spam team has warned us. No, you don’t have to put Nofollow tags on every outbound link; Google does not want that.

Interestingly, the site dogobedienceshortcuts.com is relying heavily on article directories and Squidoo to give it the links it needs in order to rank highly for this profitable phrase. Of course, the team behind the site also seem to be great link builders, with more links than anyone else in both industries covered here.
