Another excellent free tool for finding relevant influencers across the social media sphere, Social Mention is a real-time social search engine that also provides alerts and a cool buzz-monitoring widget you can add to your website or blog. If Google Alerts had been developed with a focus on social media, this would be it. Share this on Bebo.

Twitter Badges : This comes straight from the developers of Twitter: Flash badges intended to be displayed on your website, showing your latest Twitter posts TwitterBuzz is an interesting tool that turns Twitter into some sort of simple Digg. It displays a list of most popular links on Twitter. Here are some of the onces I know of.

For example, I subscribe to high volume streams like Twitter timelines, AP news syndicates, various digg feeds and more. Digg: srubel. This should include relevant feeds that you never have any intention of reading or even scanning. These generate a torrent of posts but I dont let them get in my way. Blog RSS Feed. Comment Feed.

Also, one story on the Digg home page does not an expert make. By that I mean not only the social voting sites like Digg, Reddit, etc, but also on the social networks (Facebook, MySpace, etc), social communication tools (Twitter, Pownce, Seesmic, etc.), For example, what plays well on Digg versus what plays well on Propeller.
