The same reason 40+ other bloggers are doing the same on websites like Social Media Today and in this case Social Media Informer. I just have a tiny little place on the web comparatively to most successful bloggers, and the reality is, what harm is there in getting my content in front of a new audience? My Google Page Rank was hovering quite nicely at 6 for quite some time, but dropped to 4 in the past few weeks. Ask And You Shall Receive – I know this is pretty much a no brainer, but I just figured it was time to find quality bloggers and ask for link exchanges.

Quickly and easily you can see Google Pagerank, Alexa, Compete, and a variety of other data points. If you are a serious blogger or a digital marketer, it’s a must have. Of course this only really works if you use Feedburner (which many bloggers do), but my blog subscribers skyrocketed once I started using FriendFeed.

Like many bloggers, I’ve gone in and out of writing, and that doesn’t help with maintaining a consistent flow of traffic to your blog. Yes, I’ve read Google’s documentation, etc. At the end of the day, driving eyeballs to my blog isn’t really the ultimate goal, writing useful and appreciated content is.
