Just as low-level article directories (ezinearticles, articlesbase, and others) got hurt by Google’s Panda Update in 2013, I predict that Google will hurt sites abusing guest blogging in 2013. I don’t feel guest blogging is bad, nor that all bloggers who do it will be penalized by Google. Do you notice who it is published by?

What does change is that everytime I publish an article relating to one of these things, I put it under that category and that page instantly has more information. Directory Submissions By nature, directory links are of a very poor quality. It doesn’t change. This is gold.

You could simply buy directory links, sponsor blog posts, and even have Wordpress themes developed which included a link to your site in the footer. I didn’t focus on directory submissions, forum links, paid links, article directories, or anything of the sort. These days however, things are very different. That was it.
