Recently, HubSpot’s Website Grader began factoring mobile optimization in to its scores. After all, it’s about time for mobile platforms to be considered in the production of every website, as more people are owning smartphones. This doesn’t mean making a completely new version of the website built just for mobile.

InsightExpress conducted a survey of how millennials use social networking and mobile devices to stay connected. 70% of millennials said mobile applications are important to their daily lives. Instagram, Twitter, and SnapChat are big mobile applications used among my friends.

It is a great resource if you don’t use a third party application, such as HootSuite and have to stress about logging on to Facebook at a certain time to post a message. It will be interesting to see how this feature develops, but at this point, it doesn’t seem to really rival any third party applications from a community manager standpoint.

Aside from the internet, Pinterest has also made quite the stamp on it’s mobile application. A Pin It button is now available on the mobile app. Topics like history, kids, design, DIY, art, gardening, food and more are all expanded on with hundreds of pins. Pinterest is encouraging pinning regardless of your location!
