The bottom line here is that your readers absolutely must trust you in order to buy from you, or to subscribe to your feed or newsletter. What I’m proposing is that you donate a small portion of your online real estate to a good cause. For many, that means less space for direct advertising or AdSense promotion.

As a new blogger, here is my question/issue/concern: Obviously the “making money online” niche is HUGE, but what about smaller niches (like mine, Real Estate Investing). Because every time someone clicks an Adsense ad they are gone from your site. Don’t get me wrong, I actually really like Adsense in some situations.

Far too often, the typical business thinks list building means creating a newsletter. People don’t want your newsletter. There’s no AdSense on the side. Because I know that real estate is valuable. That’s valuable real estate that I’d rather use to promote my own stuff.
