At least, that’s how @ NiallHarbison feels in his article “The Ridiculous Abundance Of Social Sharing Buttons.&# Whether you call them chicklets or widgets, more of them seem to be popping up above (and below, and beside) blog posts on every blog.

When I talk of conversions, I am talking along the lines of email subscribers, social media followers, and/or  sales. Now it will be interesting to see what precedent (if any) is set by this case, but the key thing to bear in mind is the concept that a social media account has an intrinsic value.

I still feel though that the search results from 2011 and 2012 are just far better than what we’ve seen in 2013. The biggest thing that stands out to me from all of these questions and answers on their Youtube channel is just how scared of SEO the general webmaster seems to be.
