Interest…waning… Google+ hasn’t been able to keep the attention of the public after their fanfare launch in July 2011, so I’m not sure adding cute, cuddly Muppets to their list of endorsers is going to change much.

In 2011, Facebook announced a new advertising program called “Sponsored Stories” that basically told your friends what you were doing in the form of an add. For instance, if I posted “Grabbing my third cup of coffee from Starbucks today. Watch out co-workers!”

The 2011 winners of the competition, Ginger.io, not only took home a check for $100K, but have currently raised $1.7 That’s a lot of coffee and M&Ms, not to mention additional opportunities to work with established mentors to develop your idea further and potentially find ways to bring it to fruition.
