Our Digital Paradox Living in the era of social media, we feel more connected than ever before but it’s only superficial. When bombarded with updates, notifications, likes, and shares, we can find ourselves even more disconnected and isolated. So we dig a deeper digital hole trying to find the connection we are missing.

A VERY close second is the new notifications feature. Admins can now create settings to get a notification email when new posts are made on the page. If you are currently using Facebook as your page, you’ll see these notifications in the top left corner when someone interacts with your page.

Many corporations use gamification to encourage employee engagement , sharing of company information on social media, and meeting performance goals. It also has an option to auto-post to social networks with a notice you are starting or just completed meditation. Is community engagement gamification?

When I first heard about App.net my first reaction was probably very much like yours, “I don’t need another social media network!” Founder Dalton Caldwell created this new network–known to fans as ADN– a mere 12 weeks ago as an ad-free, real-time social network. Mac Desktop. At the moment Wedge is my favorite.

The site takes your activities on the site, the investments in you and the amount of social interaction on popular social media sites as runs some sort of algorithm to gauge your value overall. All the big social media names have an account, probably for the same reasons I do. How to win at Empire Avenue.

A page doesn’t get notifications by email, text or in the Google+ bar, so it’s hard to keep on top of your discussions. Currently few social media management tools offer Google+ support, though Hootsuite will be soon. Heck, there are several pages already called “Social Media Coach”!
