RSS Folders. Of course, those unread items can quickly add up in your feed reader and make it a bit hard to handle. One way to make sure you are getting what you want from your feed reader is organizing your feeds into particular folders. My Google Reader is sorted by topic, plus a special folder for commenters on Kikolani.

Tip: Use a RSS reader tool to pull in these industry specific blogs – I like Google reader but there are other options available. Join relevant groups and sign up for email notification from these groups. LinkedIn is prime for re-active engagement. Make it a point to answer or comment on the discussions.

If youre new here or just an old friend, Id love it if you subscribed via RSS feed. This reduces the number of steps required to post a response to Facebook once an email notification was received. Now, you receive the email notification, hit “Reply&# , type your response and hit “Send&#. Much simpler, if you ask me.

Using RSS feeds and organizing them. RSS feeds are not dead! In fact, RSS feeds are not just for reading your favorite blogs—they will help you greatly with blog commenting. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to practice a regular blog commenting schedule via your Google reader. That saves me loads of time!
