There are two ways you can pay a search engine to display your site. Paid inclusion Paid inclusion is anytime you pay the search engine to include you in their results and it’s common among some directories and submission based search engines. They are paid inclusion and PPC (pay per click).

You can also use twitter based directories like twellow , wefollow , etc to find people who fall into the same categories as you. Remember Twitter is basically a giant word of mouth engine and your goal is to get people talking and then to keep them talking. Use the search to find people talking about your company, product, or niche.
