Part of the idea behind Facebook Places is the same as with other geolocation services like Gowalla and Foursquare: to create spontaneous meetings. I am not sure whether or not Facebook Places will eventually overrule other services like Foursquare and Gowalla or how powerful geolocation will be.

Time Tracking: Having the ability to not only track your own time for projects but share that data with a collaborator is pretty great. I know that there are other services out there that do this but again this is all in one place, that’s the kind of efficiency gains that a virtual office can revel in.
