Just because I manage to get 500 visitors a day from an article I submitted to article directories doesn’t mean you can get that much traffic doing the same thing. Make flyers with a catchy title and a description of your blog, and post them on bulletin boards in the entrance to supermarkets and other community buildings.

Also, since Yahoo acquired del.icio.us, my guess is that MyWeb is the way Yahoo will be going since it is already integrated with other aspects of their social bookmarking. Also, I dont expect Yahoo to go away soon, where Im a bit concerned about some of the other social bookmarking, tagging tools. Do you not have a blog?

paid links (with the exception of those from directories). Submit your blog to blog directories. One advantage blogs have over other websites is the ability to submit to tons of various blog and RSS aggregators. These directories will either list just your blog, or your blog’s latest posts, or both. Use Google Authorship.

You can also use twitter based directories like twellow , wefollow , etc to find people who fall into the same categories as you. Join these conversations and add value to the communities. Work on building outposts for your content on social bookmarking sites like Digg and Delicious to help get more exposure for it.
