We use SNA, among other things, as a tool for Participatory Impact Pathway Analysis ( [link] ), where project staff draw their own networks, and our team map them with the software. link] : I have learned to use Proximity, open-source software under development by the Univ. At this point it is research software. It is freeware.

I’m a social media strategist that blogs about social media and online communities so I find it frustrating when I am sent a PDF attachment on an email with a traditional media press release using agency created content, professional film crews employed to do the traditional campaign filming and ditto with professional musicians.

I was running a community site at the time and besides premium memberships, they aren’t that easy to monetise. I’ve hired programmers to create scripts that I later sell to niche communities for a great return and I’ve also built and sold popular blogs.
