When you have a fairly popular blog, you have to deal with comment spammers. Unfortunately, blog comment spamming still works apparently, or at least the blog spammers haven’t learned that it doesn’t work. Nonetheless, I’m still amazed at some of the comments left on the blog. Greetings!

When social media took hold - the early days of Blogger and Movable Type - it changed everything for me. Blogs used to be different because they were personalized (like an online journal), on a blog platform, RSS feeds, comments, etc. movable type. Just nothing back. That's fine. advertising. blog platform.

I scan 275 RSS feeds in Google Reader and I use dozens of bookmarklets and shortcuts to help me manage it all. This works for any RSS feed, not just bookmarks. It’s chronologically organized information, it’s got comments usually, and it’s content, it’s useful content. You couldn’t even have comments on Blogger when I first started. The day I installed comments on my first blog, it took me about a week to do it. That’s always been my philosophy.
