This type of blogging has a bad name in some circles. You set up a domain name with your primary keyword in it and target that keyword plus several more that are related. You can put your SEO blog on the back end of a domain that you want to increase traffic for or put it on a separate domain and use it to build links.

It must be an exact match because Google holds a lot of weight in the domain name in terms of their ranking system – and it must be a term that isn’t too competitive. After you have chosen your domain name, it is time to start creating your place holder site.

Once you enter the domain name select ‘Historic Index’ followed by backlinks tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘download data’ 2. Some of the other common sources of spammy links are Forum Profiles, Blog comments, Social bookmarks and paid links.

A post of mine that went viral through a secret blogging club was my guest post on getting more blog comments —it presently has 97 comments and 87 retweets on a site that averages 15 retweets and 40 comments per post.
