The best of these commenters in my experience tend to use a personal name (and where possible use a personal avatar). Note : on avatars, it can be worth registering for a Gravatar account as this is often used for avatars on many blogs. They tend to leave less comments than the above groups but the comments are more effective.

I was at the FinCon Conference where I did the opening keynote and had an absolute ball. Really great conference, very good community. I started blogging in 2002, 2004 for ProBlogger, of course things have changed. Ideally, what you want to create is some kind of avatar or persona or reader profile for your blog.

Add an avatar and a bio at the minimum. And well, they say that social media is the new link exchange, so instead of asking for an old-fashioned link (which might have worked in 2002), consider using a more viable strategy for this modern time period. There is no reason to make a personal request. Not humanizing your profile.
