Take a look: Social networking sites played a big role. 609 StumbleUpon users visited the blog (not specific to the Foursquare article) between October 22 – 29. As of this writing: 1,174 Twitter users shared the link through their status updates. 284 Facebook users clicked the “like&# button to share it on their walls.

While you need to create an account to participate, the links at the top of the site let anyone see cat pictures and the cat of the week , add comments on those photos of cats celebrating their birthdays (17 today), and much more. Sounds impressive. Catster, celebrating its sixth birthday next month, has a friendlier web design.
