I cannot believe that the link in Paris Jackson’s Twitter account is pointing to Lundons.com/index.html. One should never EVER be able to get to the /index.html page of any web site, ever. Your “home page” navigation link should never point to the index.html page. That is a cardinal sin in the SEO world.

While looking at the Alexa What’s Hot page this afternoon to see what everyone on the web is viewing right now, I noticed something interesting: the entry for Papa John’s home page includes an index.html file in the URL. There is absolutely no reason that one should ever see index.html show up in a URL. I could only guess.
This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Never link to the index.html, default.html, index.htm, default.asp pages. That’s NOT the home page for Urchin, the page is [link] and that’s where that “Home&# link should link: not to the index.html page. you move from apache to Windows), you will be left with a bunch of URLs that you will have to redirect.

The easiest way to browser your Twitter archive ent ails opening the index.html file in your browser (it’s in the root folder). Once your download completes, unarchive the ZIP file to your desktop or elsewhere. Open a ReadMe file inside which contains instructions on the archive structure.

All web sites have a home page, www.domain.com and a www.domain.com/index.html. Make sure and modify all internal links to go to / instead of going to /index.html. Then make sure you redirect the index.html page to /. This is diluting the effectiveness of all your seo efforts.

I realize that the home page is actually a file on your web site: like index.html or index.php or maybe it is default.html or default.asp or maybe even index.asp. The URL for your home page, the “real home page” is to your domain name–and not to any other “version” of your home page.
