TweetDeck is my favorite desktop/laptop tool for ease of layout, but Hootsuite is also great because it offers more advanced analytics and team-sharing tools for you. When you know you will be attending or speaking at a conference, set up a column in TweetDeck for its hashtag, then interact with attendees ahead of time. Use Visuals.

People hire me to watch out for them and find new opportunities to engage and new tools and it’s all candy to me, but it shouldn’t be for anybody who wants to run a business that isn’t around social media now is it? In one of his recent seminars he said something like this. Tweetdeck , Seesmic or Hootsuite.

They need to start engaging with the voters again. And I just wonder whether arming MPs with (cheap) laptops with Tweetdeck (other desktop apps are available) and iPhones, might just be a good starting point and the wake-up call many of them need. I learned today about TweetDeck & find it easier to understand what’s going on. 8 seminar but I really have no idea if I did it right! Like for e.g What’s a tweetwall? Where do we find it.
