paid links (with the exception of those from directories). Remember that link building should not just be solely for increasing search engine rankings or building up PageRank. Links can do this regardless of whether or not they contain the “nofollow” attribute, contain redirects, come from a site with a high PageRank , and so on.

Article directories? Search engines have traditionally given them a nod of approval, pretty much across the board. And for the record, EzineArticles was not the only article directory affected by this algorithm change. It is the most popular article directory online. Google, puh-lease! Why is this upsetting?
