Now, I agree that it is good to disconnect to spend time with family and friends but not when you’re traveling for work and need access. I can even sort of access Twitter by going through TweetDeck. you switch to the new signal in the country your travelling in. It was definitely frustrating but understandable.

It doesn’t have the advanced functionality of Tweetdeck (such as cross-posting to Facebook), but it’s so easy-to-use that it’s my favorite Twitter app. Extremely handy while traveling, I also highly recommend Nutshell for casual social media users.

The Twitter integration in Netvibes actually includes the very same functionality of Tweetdeck. In fact, it’s so good that I have now uninstalled Tweetdeck from my Mac as this online version has some features even Tweetdeck was missing. I’ll definitely try this out and let you know how it works.

HootSuite puts all the accounts in one single interface (you can do the same with TweetDeck and Seesmic, I believe), but in terms of passwords, I usually use KeePass to store them with other relevant account information. My followers on this group definitely would not be interested in my political or societal views.
