Perfect example of that. an ad in our alumni magazine, a note in our alumni e-newsletter, posters around campus (my experimentation with QR codes), print ads, Facebook ads, etc.

Just like Posterous, you can use Amplify as your primary blogging platform, as well as auto-post to your own blog. It really is a community. Its really sad that the campaign is taking such flack (rightly so), when it could, instead, have become as an example of what do when embarking on a social media-driven campaign. As a previous poster mentioned, I dont follow celebrities either. Instead, Ill find a nonprofit and community I respect and trust. Lead by example.

To me, an outside observer, they have treated it as a sales platform though positioned it as a community forum. We just don’t know who owns the site, who runs the site, or who this poster is. Yet here is how the local affiliate site defines its service on the community site, when talking to the users: WOMF is about you.
