Do they use social platforms and if so, how often and why? The CMO is the one managing brand perception, and if you believe social media initiatives impact branding, marketing or communications, the CMO will want to hear about it. I have been using Netvibes for more than a year now and similarly to the use case in the presentation I have tailored my start page to fulfill my needs in certain contexts (trips, translation tools, tech news, community and collaboration). Each channel is implemented with existing components, including html and link components and widgets.

The platforms you need to be on will become very clear once you start listening and looking for your niche and conversations surrounding it. You can also use twitter based directories like twellow , wefollow , etc to find people who fall into the same categories as you. Join these conversations and add value to the communities.

The platform is constantly evolving beyond its blogging roots, with more great features being added every year. One of the reasons the theme customizer was so well received within the WordPress community was because changes can be seen in real time. The Recent Comments widget had some small improvements.
