We might do an email that was a last chance type email towards the end of the campaign as well. I was nervous about it being a five-day launch, a five-day campaign because we typically, we’re going five weeks and then we’ve done a two week one and we’re like oh, this is the jackpot, this has worked very well but how’s five days going to work?

They now have traditional banner ads but they also have ads for mobile, responsive ads. I’ve done some big campaigns with advertisers over the years but they only came about because I rang a camera store a few years ago and organized a $20 on my site. Experiment with different sizes of ads. Treat this as an evolutionary process.

Mobile responsive. One of the things we noticed a couple of years ago now was that we were slowly trending down on our mobile traffic on both of my blogs. In a similar way if you’re working with sponsors, you might want to plug into your editorial calendar when you want to do sponsored posts or other types of campaigns as well.
