I don't think that Apple achieved what they wanted to with their take on a tablet, but I think there is something to be said for introducing a really awesome Kindle alternative to the market – one that has a lot more bells and whistles. It's a perfect tool for that and much less expensive than any alternatives in that space.

SXSW: Mark Zuckerberg Keynote (the edited liveblogged version)

Here we go with the highly-talked-about keynote presentation at South by Southwest… Just like an Apple keynote, they tried to build up some serious momentum for this event. There was a lot more uproar over the news feed from more users than there was with Beacon and it was primarily a concern about privacy.
